Our team at Findlay Dental Group recommends that you visit our office at least once every six months. We realize that at times, however, more frequent visits may be necessary. We also understand that accidents can happen, and we would like to help you when they do. Please call our office as soon as an emergency arises so we can provide you with the necessary care to assist you in fixing the problem. Aside from seeking immediate medical help, there are several things you should do in response to a dental emergency. Here are a few tips on how to take care of your smile until you can come to our office for professional care:

  • If a tooth is knocked out, Dr. Lewis recommend that you only hold the tooth by the crown (the part of the tooth that is typically above the gum line). If you can reach the dentist soon, place the tooth in a cup of milk.
  • If you break a tooth, rinse your mouth with warm water to clean the area. Use a cold compress to reduce swelling until you can visit our dentists.
  • For a jaw injury, we recommend that you visit our office or an emergency room as quickly as possible. We recommend that you use a cold compress to reduce swelling as you travel.

If you have any questions about how to respond to a dental emergency in Findlay, Ohio, we urge you to contact us immediately. We are committed to providing the fast, gentle dental care you need.

"My first visit with your office in 2007, was the best dental visit I have ever had. My grandchildren are also now patients at your office. I am only sorry it took me so long to find you. I tell everyone about your office and how friendly, kind and caring the entire staff is."
